Command Line Syntax
You can process STAAD Foundation Advanced input files and set license options for the program via the Windows command line.
Syntax
<path>
StaadFoundation.exe
[Options]
<input_file>
where:
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
<path> | the installation path for STAAD Foundation Advanced, which is C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\Engineering\STAAD Foundation Advanced\ by default. |
<input_file> | the name of the STAAD Foundation Advanced file you want to use as input. |
Expressions in square brackets (between '[' and ']') are optional, and can take one of the following values if used:
Setting | Description |
---|---|
/Analyze | Runs the analysis on the file (.sfa), passed as a parameter, after opening the STAAD Foundation Advanced application. |
/Limited | Runs STAAD Foundation Advanced with a STAAD.Pro license. You will be able to access only the Isolated Footings, Combined Footings, & Pile Cap modules. |
/Advanced | Runs STAAD Foundation Advanced with a full STAAD Foundation Advanced license. You can access all the modules of the application. |
Example
The following is a simple example which can be run from a directory containing the US examples (i.e., C:\Users\Public\Documents\STAAD Foundation Advanced\Examples\US Code (ACI318-2005 & ACI318-2011)):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\Engineering\STAAD Foundation Advanced\StaadFoundation.exe /Analyze us-general-isolated-foundation-1.sfa
